Alan Sheppard, Student & Missions Pastor

Alan’s journey with Christ came alive when he was 18 years old as a senior in high school. Using his words, “This was the turning point for my life, not only was I saved, but I actually fell in love with a living Jesus.” Being in love is different than just being acquainted, it is an active pursuit of another. Alan’s passion in ministry is to explore with others the adventure of falling in love with the living, and actively moving, Creator of the universe. He does this through his service as Student and Mission’s Pastor of Mt. Tabor. He has been at our church for 3 years now, and is a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership.

Eva Kroon Pike, Worship Leader

Eva Kroon Pike was adopted when she was 6 weeks old into a Christian family. She had a love for music at a young age and sang her first solo at 3 years old. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized when she was 6.  Growing up in the church has allowed Eva many opportunities to serve in children’s ministry, youth, praise team, ensembles, soloist and choir.  She has been a member of the Florida Worship Choir & Orchestra for 9 years and has been a featured soloist on many songs & recording for the FWCO. Before joining Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, in 2016, Eva had the opportunity to write and record 2 albums with her producer, Don Koch in her solo ministry and traveled on radio tours across the eastern US for several years.  Eva now serves as full time worship leader at Mt. Tabor. She and her husband, Jonny Pike, have been married for 13 years and have 3 boys: Jonathan, Corey & Bentley.  Besides music Eva also enjoys photography and bible journaling.

Debbie Cloud, Financial Secretary

My name is Debbie Cloud, and I am the church financial secretary. I have been married to Beebo Cloud for 43 years and we have 3 grown children. I was saved at 12 years of age and have always loved Christian music; my mother made my sisters and I take piano lessons for which I am profoundly thankful. My sisters and I started singing specials in church when I was 5 years old. I started leading the music here at Mt. Tabor when I was 18. My twin sister, Donna, began playing the piano for the church when she was 16 and it has been wonderful to serve the Lord together in our music ministry most of our lives here at Mt. Tabor Baptist. My hobbies include watching Sci-Fi movies and reading.

Donna Ballard, Pianist

My name is Donna Ballard and I have been the pianist at Mt. Tabor for almost 50 years. I am so blessed that God has allowed me to serve Him in this way for all of these years. I grew up singing and playing with my sisters as the “Harrelson Trio”, with my father and uncles as “God’s Country Singers”, with my sisters and cousions as “Heavenbound”, then with my sister and our children as “Harrelson Heritage”. I also teach elementary children on Wednesday nights, and pray that I am planting seeds that God will grow in their lives. I have a husband, two wonderful children and three awesome grandchildren. I have always loved sports, especially volleyball and racquetball, but now I spend most of my free time enjoying my children and grandchildren.

Trish Larsen, Church Secretary

Trish is married to Destry and they have two lovely daughters, Kayleigh and Breanna.  Trish came on board as the secretary for Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in January of 2011.  Prior to becoming the secretary, she served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir.  One of her greatest hobbies (since the age of 10) is genealogy and she has made some great discoveries…but her greatest discovery was not with genealogy at all, it was discovering the love of the Lord!
